Friday 8th October The disco is open to all children in the school, with an admission charge of £2. We have split the Key Stages so that the music and disco activities can be geared more effectively to the specific age groups. Teachers and members of the ABA are on hand at this event to ensure that your children have a good time. Drinks, sweets and Glow bracelets/necklaces will be on sale on the night, so make sure your child has some pocket money to spend. The main aim is for your child to have fun and enjoy themselves. Any profit from the evening will go towards extra projects in the school or to funding other events for the children. Friday 26th November - Christmas Decorations This is the day we decorate the school entrance hall and library. We are supplied with coffee to help keep us going with the fairy lights and baubles. It is a bit of fun for us parents, so why not join in? Saturday 4th December - Christmas Fair This is a popular event for all the family. The Fair will start as usual at 11am, with Father Christmas making his way to the grotto, where children will be able to visit him and talk about this year's present list! The choir and orchestra will provide that seasonal musical touch while you enjoy bacon/sausage sandwiches in our cafe. We will, as usual have our regular stalls such as The Yankee Candle and A Taste of Yorkshire, but hope to also provide something new for you. We also have parents from the school with their own stalls. Perhaps today you will either start or finish your Christmas shopping. An exciting new 'shop' will feature at the Fair this year - our Secret Santa shop. No parents will be allowed in here! Your children will be able to come here to buy gifts for Mum, Dad, Gran, Grandad etc. all by themselves. All gifts will be aimed at over 18's only and will be wrapped, with some help for younger children in writing the gift tags. Be sure that your child visits early to avoid disappointment. Nearer the time, we do ask for everyone's help in making this event a success. Perhaps you could donate a prize for our raffle? The cake stall is always a favourite, but we rely on you to get baking or shopping and send in cakes or buns etc. We will also need volunteers to man the stalls - half an hour of your time is all we ask for. On the afternoon of Friday 3rd December we start to set up, so if you have Friday afternoon to spare, we would love to see you, otherwise you may like to help us clear up after the event - again half an hour is a big help.
